I work in all mediums, however watercolor has become my medium of choice. My style ranges from realism to nonrepresentational. My work is bold, dynamic and insightful. While planning the mood that I want to portray, is achieved by the use of color, value and design.
I have always had a desire to paint. I have dabbled in all mediums not
knowing why I did some things and didn’t do others. The first watercolor
workshop I took opened a whole new way of looking at the art world. The
principles and elements of design were taught. The quest for knowledge has never
left me. I have taken more than 80 workshops with professional artists. I
continue my art education through reading and studying art magazines and books.
To this day I take workshops to gain fresh ideas and insightful ways to improve
my work.
I am never without a camera so that I can record anything that interests me. It
is marvelous to feel the excitement one gets while a painting is in progress.
Watercolor is an expressive and captivating medium. One can say as little
or as much about any subject. The artist world is a challenge and I don’t want
to miss a single minute of it. It lets you see things so much richer and deeper.
Texture, value and color make the world come to life. Validating this through
expressive art makes me feel complete!
